Automated External Defibrillators are being installed in the workplace and also in public areas such as railways, airports and sea ports. It is important to know to use Automated External Defibrillators for the safety of all concerned.

 

A.E.D Defibrillator Course content:

  • Brief overview of DRABC and CPR
  • Importance of oxygen delivery and oxygen dissociation for protection of the brain
  • The hearts electric conductivity
  • Normal heart rhythm
  • Arrhythmias associated with Sudden Cardiac Arrest
  • How and when a defibrillator will restore the hearts pumping ability
  • Common causes of SAD
  • Brief overview of the two underlying causes
  • How to use an AED
  • Safety aspects of use of an AED
  • Operational
  • Casualty
  • Paediatric use
  • AED features
  • Maintenance
  • Practical skills CPR and the use of an AED
  • Training outcomes and skills set for students
  • Recommended lesson plan
  • After care, documentation

 

Course length:    3 hours

Certificate valid:  1 year

 

Cost of course at either your venue or ours:-

 

Cost of candidates on site at your venue   £70 each*

 

*Price based on 5 candidates sitting the training

 

Add + or minus - candidates at £25 each

 

With effect from 1st January 2018, all on-site courses are subject to £20 travelling costs within a 50 mile radius.

Courses outside the 50 mile radius will be determined at the time of booking.
