Course Introduction
This course is designed for candidates who will be using a PPT or pallet stacker truck. This course will show the candidates the basics and manoeuvrability of these trucks. as well as the basics of picking up loads and how to move about their workplace safely.

- Hazard awareness
- Introduction to the lift truck to be used
- Daily pre-use inspection & maintenance
- Battery care
- Controls and instruments
- Weight assessment / Stability Factors
- Starting, moving and stopping the truck
- Manoeuvring in open and confined area’s
- Operation of hydraulic controls
- Handling unladen and laden pallets
- Stacking/de-stacking – (Depending on truck type)
- Theory test
- Practical test of basic operating skills
